It looks like Michael J. Fox is not a Taylor Swift fan. Fox slammed the country singer after his son Sam found himself at the center of a joke about Swift’s troubled love life Sunday at the Golden Globes.
Making fun of Swift’s reputation as a serial dater, hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler advised her to “stay away” from Sam, who was escorting winners to the stage as Mr. Golden Globe. “She needs some 'me time' to learn about herself," Fey joked.
On Wednesday night, Vulture.com asked Fox if he would welcome his son dating Swift. “No. No … Just back off,” the former Family Ties star said.
He then slammed Swift for building her career with songs written about her exes. “I don’t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career,” he quipped.
Fox added that he probably wouldn’t recognize Swift if Sam did bring her home, but he would realize when he heard her next song. “‘Sam, You Piece of Sh*t.’ Oh … that was the girl you brought home!” he joked.
Swift has not commented. Her past boyfriends include Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and Connor Kennedy. She recently split from One Direction musician Harry Styles.
