On the season premiere of The Bachelor, fans saw 26-year-old advertising executive Sarah Herron worry that having only one arm would affect her chances with Sean Lowe. Her fears were put to rest on the second episode when Lowe took her on the very first date of the season. In a new interview with People magazine, Herron says getting the first date made her feel like “the luckiest girl in the world.”
“I felt sparks and could definitely picture myself, as early as that night, building a future with him,” she tells People.
Herron describes Lowe as “100 percent authentic, patient, passionate, compassionate, creative, sporty, adventurous, good-looking and a gentleman.” “He has a very big heart and an awesome sense of humor. When you are spending time with him, he has this way of making you feel like you are this incredible, perfect woman,” she says.
As for her disability, Herron says it turned out to be a help and not a hindrance. “It helped me stand out and catch his attention when I introduced myself to Sean.”
“I was worried about Sean liking me, but I was not concerned about what the public would say,” she adds. “I've grown up with that and have pretty thick skin. But I've been reading comments online. It has been incredibly positive and uplifting.”
