Hunter Lawrence added a 20-yard field goal to extend the Longhorns lead to 16-7 and then McCoy capped the scoring in the first quarter with a 36-yard touchdown pass to Dan Buckner to push the score to 23-7.

Foswhitt Whittaker ended the demolition with a 13-yard TD run on the opening playoff the fourth.
As dominant as the Texas offense was, collecting 639 yards, the Longhorns defense was just as impressive, allowing just 53 yards of offense to the Miners while forcing five turnovers.
