Clickedu is to offer Dixio Desktop on its school platform on Cloud
Clickedu, the school platform on Cloud, will be offering Dixio Desktop as an easy-to-use educational resource for teachers, parents and pupils to look up the meanings of words and phrases as they read documents or websites.
Dixio Desktop is a computer program that applies language technology to provide context-specific definitions and translations with a single click. It is very easy to use: just press the Windows key down and click on the word in question, and Dixio will do the rest. Dixio also has a wide variety of first class, multilingual, fully up-to-date dictionaries and encyclopedias.
The use of this tool for learning purposes not only considerably improves pupils’ reading comprehension and vocabulary, but also avoids unnecessary distractions, so that time spent on studying is much more effective.
Clickedu is online academic management software ( an ERP for schools) that includes academic and economic management, a virtual learning environment with digital support books, teaching, tutorial, study plan and school quality management and a private, secure environment for communication with families.
Clickedu: Clickart, a multidisciplinary technology firm, developed Clickedu to satisfy the needs of the IPSE, Virolai and Voramar schools of Barcelona.
