Carithers Flowers, the second generation, family-owned Atlanta Florist, has announced that they were one of five florists selected nationwide for a $1,000 customer giveaway that benefited their customers and amplified their giving spirit during the 2012 holiday season.
The Conforti Collection is behind the grand gesture. In an attempt to promote small businesses across the country, the company released their unique ceramic, hand-painted collectable called the Spode 2012 Holiday Express Train. They then selected five local florists who were offering the train for sale during this holiday season. Carithers Flowers of Atlanta, Georgia was thrilled to have been selected along with four other florists from around the nation.
The selected florists were then instructed to submit a customer’s name to be awarded a $1,000 prize. Carithers Flowers of Atlanta, like many of the other participating florists, held a drawing for the prize and then alerted the winner. The holiday giveaway has not only been a boost to business during an already busy holiday season, but it has also strengthened loyalty among a growing customer base.
In explaining his thanks to the Conforti Collection for being included, Carithers Flowers founder Charles Carithers said, “It is really amazing to see a company wanting to support local businesses. By selling their wonderful product line, we were given the chance to offer a wider selection as well as give a generous gift to one of our valued customers. I cannot think of a truer meaning for this season of giving.”
Last year, the Conforti Collection released the first in the Spode Holiday Train series. Because of the overwhelming success and attention it has garnered, the Company is planning to offer the giveaway next Christmas when they release the third and final train in the collection.
