Taylor Swift has reportedly had enough of jokes about her love life. Sources say Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s remarks at the Golden Globes were the last straw for Swift.
“At first Taylor just thought it was funny how much interest people had in her love life and she went along with it,” an insider tells RadarOnline.com. “But now she’s the butt of jokes on Saturday Night Live, in the tabloids and on the late night shows. She laughed it off, but the jokes made about her at the Golden Globes got under her skin.”
During the awards show, Fey and Poehler called Swift out from the stage and advised her to “stay away” from Sam Fox, the son of actor Michael J. Fox. “She needs some 'me time' to learn about herself," Fey joked.
The Radar source says Swift is now determined to not be a serial dater. “The jokes being made about her love life embarrass her, but it’s finally hit home with Taylor,” adds the insider. “She really wants to make an effort to slow down and not jump from boyfriend to boyfriend. In a weird way all the negative press has really opened her eyes and will be good for her!”
Swift most recently split from One Direction singer Harry Styles. According to reports, 18-year-old Styles dumped the singer earlier this month because he felt she was “sexually uninterested.” “Harry found Taylor a little sexually uninterested,” an insider told Radar. “While it was clear she obviously had a thing for Harry, Taylor didn’t want to put out as often as he would’ve liked.”
“It’s no secret he’s sexually active and is enjoying his fame at the moment. But Taylor just wasn’t up for it as much as he is. They were sexually incompatible,” the source added.
Swift’s other past boyfriends include Conner Kennedy, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Twilight star Taylor Lautner and Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas.
