Shakira is ready to welcome her son! The pop star took to Twitter Tuesday to ask fans for their prayers as she goes into labor.
“I'd like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life. Shak,” she wrote.
The 35-year-old was later spotted entering a hospital in Barcelona with her boyfriend Gerard Pique and several family members.
Shakira announced her pregnancy in September just days after being confirmed as a coach for season 4 of The Voice. “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!” she said.
“At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days,” she added. “This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival … I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding. Big kiss!”
