It’s a sad day for fans of ABC’s comedy Don’t Trust the B--- in Apt. 23 –stars James Van Der Beek, Krysten Ritter and Dreama Walker have all confirmed the show has been dropped from the network’s lineup. ABC has not commented.
"Sad to say ABC has pulled Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23 and will not be airing the eight remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we've basically been cancelled,” Van Der Beek revealed in a Facebook post on Tuesday. “I know most of you watched us on your own time schedule and that the competitive network scheduling game is irrelevant to you, but network TV is a business dictated by Nielson ratings. And while that's an antiquated business model, it's the only one they've got. For now."
"My sincerest thanks to all who tuned in. I hope you had as much fun watching as we did making it. I can't imagine a more fun work environment with better people,” he added.
Ritter tweeted: "My beloved fans, sad to confirm that it is true. Don't Trust the B--- in Apt. 23 has been cancelled. Thank you so much for your support. I love you."
"Beyond grateful for two seasons to be proud of on Apt. 23. Thanks for all of your love and support,” added Walker.
The cancellation comes midway through the show’s second season. Fans have already created a Facebook petition in hopes of getting ABC to reverse the decision.
