Teen Mom 2 Star Jenelle Evans Files 5 Assault Charges Against Husband

After vowing to file for divorce from her husband Courtland Rogers, Jenelle Evans filed five assault charges against him in North Carolina. According to Evans’ attorney Dustin Sullivan, Rogers physically abused the pregnant Teen Mom 2 star “over a period of time.” The most recent attack allegedly happened on Monday.

“The charges are assault on a female with an unborn child. She made the charges today,” Sullivan told E! News yesterday.

Evans, 21, has not commented. Rogers denied the allegations, telling RadarOnline.com, “I did not hit my wife. This is not true at all.’”

If convicted, Rogers could receive a maximum of 150 days in jail for each charge.

The drama between the newlyweds started Sunday night when Rogers went out drinking with friends. Evans then apparently accused him of cheating. “I went out last night and got wasted and came home at 3 am and I left my pregnant wife asleep by herself but I didn't cheat!! I just left,” Rogers tweeted early Monday morning.

“And just to think I fooled myself into thinking I was happy, happiness doesn’t exist it seems like. Just when I’m around my one and only,” Evans wrote.

Early Wednesday, the 21-year-old announced her plans to file for divorce because Rogers left town instead of accompanying her to the hospital during her miscarriage scare.

“I am getting a divorce, ASAP. YOU F**KING LEAVE OUT OF TOWN AND I MIGHT BE HAVING A MISCARRIGE?! F**K U, U F**KING PIECE OF SH*T. I’m in shock … Going to chill with an old friend, lmao, finally now that I have freedom back …” she tweeted.

Rogers announced Evans’ pregnancy last week. Evans is also mom to 3-year-old son Jace from a previous relationship, while Rogers also has a young daughter with his ex-girlfriend Taylor.
