Kris Humphries reportedly turned down a multi-million dollar offer from estranged wife Kim Kardashian to abandon his bid for an annulment.
RadarOnline.com reports Kardashian is so desperate to obtain a divorce that she offered the Brooklyn Nets star $10 million to end their marriage immediately. Unfortunately for the reality star, Humphries is determined to get an annulment on the grounds of fraud. An insider says he “flatly rejected” the offer.
“After Kim filed for divorce, she offered Kris a $10 million payoff, with the agreement that he would not continue to pursue an annulment to their marriage on the grounds of fraud,” the source reveals. “Kris flatly rejected the offer because it has never been about money for him. He wants to be able to marry in a church again, with a clear conscience, when he finds someone special. Kris is deeply religious and he believes that the only way he can do that is if his marriage to Kim is annulled.”
According to reports, the divorce trial will likely begin in June due to Humphries’ basketball schedule. At that time Kardashian, 32, will be about 8 months pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Kanye West. Sources previously said Kardashian is “seeing red” that she will likely be giving birth while still married to Humphries.
“Kim feels that Kris is hell bent on dragging her name through the mud by prolonging the divorce proceedings," a source told Radar. "Kim knows that she most likely will still be married to Kris when she gives birth to Kanye's baby, and that absolutely sickens her.”
