Dozens of Afghan passengers travelling on a bus from Herat to Kandahar were killed by a roadside bomb that ripped through the vehicle. Initial reports have placed the number of dead at 30, ten of those were said to be children.
While there has been no claims of responsibility for the bombing Kandahar’s provincial government has already blamed the Taliban for the attack.
Several of the wounded passengers were taken to a NATO base for treatment.
