Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer has said he remains hopeful that senior quarterback Tim Tebow will be taking snaps on October 10 when the number one team in the country takes on the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.
Tebow has been resting since sustaining a concussion in the Gators 41-7 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats last Saturday. The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner sustained the injury in the third quarter of the game and was immediately taken to University Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky where he remained overnight.
On Monday Tebow underwent series of tests and he was expected to undergo more testing on Tuesday to determine his condition.
Coach Meyer provided an update on Tebow saying “All the tests are coming back positive and I'm going to leave it up to the medical staff to update you guys because I don't want to give you information I don't know. But he's doing good. I talk to him all the time. Feeling better.”
Florida does not play this Saturday and will follow their game against LSU with Arkansas and Mississippi State.
