Kim Kardashian is not the only one pushing Kris Humphries to give up his bid for an annulment on the grounds of fraud. Insiders say the basketball star’s family wants him to end the marriage with a quick divorce because they want their connection to the Kardashian family severed.
“Kris’ family finds the entire matter really annoying because they’re tired of the negative attention and don’t want to be tied to Kim at all anymore,” a source tells RadarOnline.com. “They just want it to be over.”
“It’s gone on too long and it’s upsetting for the family to know that Kris is out for revenge. The family doesn’t want to be connected to Kim or any of the Kardashians anymore, and they’re worried that Kris will get burned in the end,” the source adds.
Kardashian, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West, is said to have recently offered Humphries $10 million in exchange for a divorce. Humphries “flatly rejected” the offer, according to an insider.
“After Kim filed for divorce, she offered Kris a $10 million payoff, with the agreement that he would not continue to pursue an annulment to their marriage on the grounds of fraud. Kris flatly rejected the offer because it has never been about money for him. He wants to be able to marry in a church again, with a clear conscience, when he finds someone special,” the source said.
The pair’s divorce trial will likely begin in June due to Humphries’ basketball schedule. At that time Kardashian, 32, will be about 8 months pregnant. Sources previously said Kardashian is “seeing red” that she will likely be giving birth while still married to Humphries.
