Hugh Hefner Announces Death Of Secretary Mary O’Connor

It’s a sad time for everyone at the Playboy Mansion. Hugh Hefner has announced the death of his longtime secretary, Mary O’Connor.

"Mary passed away today. We loved her more than words can say," the Playboy mogul tweeted on Sunday.

The cause of death is unknown, but TMZ reports O’Connor’s health had been failing in recent months. Insiders says Hefner, 86, is taking her death “extremely hard.” No other details were immediately available.

O’Connor was a fixture of the Playboy mansion. She served as Hefner’s secretary for more than 40 years and also acted as a “housemother” to his girlfriends. O’Connor appeared on the Playboy reality show, The Girls Next Door.

Hefner’s new wife and his former girlfriends paid tribute to O’Connor on Twitter.

"Hef's long time secretary & my dear friend Mary O'Connor has passed away. It's a very sad day here at the Playboy Mansion. We love you Mary,” Hefner’s wife Crystal Harris wrote.

Former Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson tweeted, "RIP Mary O'Connor. She was an amazing person who helped me through so much.”

"Mary O'Connor will be missed. #RIPMary,” Wilkinson’s co-star Bridget Marquardt wrote.

"Rest In Peace Mary,” Holly Madison added.
