Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) recently declared financial results for its 13-week fiscal 2013 first quarter ended December 29, 2012. The Company reported record quarterly revenue of $54.5 billion and record quarterly net profit of $13.1 billion, or $13.81 per diluted share. Average weekly revenue was $4.2 billion in the quarter compared to $3.3 billion in the year-ago quarter. The Company sold a record 47.8 million iPhones in the quarter, compared to 37 million in the year-ago quarter. Apple also sold a record 22.9 million iPads during the quarter, compared to 15.4 million in the year-ago quarter.
In the last trading session, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) declined -2.36% and closed at $439.88 with the overall traded volume of 43.14 million shares. AAPL has outstanding shares of 939.04 million with the total market cap of 413.06 billion and its beta value stands at 1.21 times
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) shares moved up after it is reported that Intel is prepared to make an impression in the smartphone market. The chipmaker recently released its Yolo smartphone in Africa.The Android-based smartphone structures Intel-design and a ‘Lexington’ Atom Chip Z2420. It’s presently sold in Kenya by Safaricom, which is a main mobile operator with about 65 percent of the country’s market share. The phone selling price is just 10,999 shillings ($125 in USD).
In the last trading session, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) jumped +0.05% to close at $20.96 and its total traded volume was 107.63 million shares. INTC has earnings per share of $2.13 and its price to earnings ratio ended at 9.83.
Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) reported the fall of -1.41% with the closing price of $4.20.The overall volume in the last trading session was 85.99 million shares. Its fifty two week range was $1.63-$5.87. The total market capitalization remained $15.73 billion.
