Starwood Hotels (NYSE: HOT) Names Ted Jacobs as VP of Brand Design

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. (NYSE: HOT) said Tuesday that it named Ted Jacobs as vice president of brand design, according to Associated Press.

Jacobs will oversee the design studio that deals with the interiors of its W Hotels, Le Meridien, St. Regis and The Luxury Collection. He previously served as principal and design director at architecture, design and planning company Gensler.

 

Jacobs will report to Mike Tiedy, senior vice president of brand design and innovation.

 

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has 960 properties in 97 countries.

 

The company's shares added $1.18, or 3.7 percent, to $32.95 in afternoon trading. The stock has traded in a 52-week range of $8.99 to $34.78.
