A bomb scare in Princeton, Minnesota caused road and
school closures as authorities secured three suspicious packages.
Shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, three unmarked
packages were discovered at the city’s post office, a public utility building
and Princeton High School.
Streets were blocked and all of the district’s school
were closed at 9:30 a.m. because of the potential bomb threat. FBI spokesman
E.K. Wilson said no direct threats were received with the packages."There's
no threat associated with these packages, no claim of responsibility or demand
at this point," he said.
The packages have been secured and are no longer
considered dangerous to the public, though authorities still don’t know what is
inside of them.
Public buildings throughout the city were swept but no
other packages were found. The streets have been reopened.
