After 12 years of marriage, Ashley Judd and her husband Dario Franchitti are calling it quits. In a statement to People.com on Tuesday the couple said their split is amicable. No other details were released. Judd, 44, and Franchitti, 39, do not have any children.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed," the pair told People.
Judd and Franchitti, a NASCAR and IndyCar driver, wed in Scotland in 2001 after a two year engagement.
Judd stars next alongside Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman in the action-thriller Olympus Has Fallen. She most recently starred in the ABC thriller series Missing.
