UCLA Bruins knock off the Oregon Ducks while Duke gets upset by Virginia
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Arron Afflalo added 17 points and the #5 UCLA Bruins (19-2) beat the #9 Oregon Ducks (19-3) 69-57 in a PAC 10 showdown. The Bruins connected on 57 percent of their three-point shots while shooting just 41 percent from the free-throw line. Bryce Taylor led the Ducks with 17 points.
Sean Singletary hit the game-winning shot with one second remaining in overtime to give the Virginia Cavaliers (14-6) a 68-66 upset win over the #8 Duke Blue Devils (18-4). Singletary finished with 17 points while J.R. Reynolds scored 25 points for Virginia. Josh McRoberts led Duke with 19 points. The Blue Devils were up by 7 at the half but Virginia rallied late in the game to force overtime.
Ivory Clark scored 18 points and had 7 rebounds to lead the #18 Washington State Cougars (18-4) past the #20 Arizona Wildcats (14-7) 72-66. The Cougars shot 50 percent from the field and connected on all nine of their free-throw attempts in the PAC 10 game. Kyle Weaver finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists for Washington State. Chase Budinger led the Wildcats with 19 points.
