Days after the Philippines was hit by Typhoon Ketsana,
the island nation was bracing itself Thursday for Typhoon Parma. Parma, which
was upgraded to a super typhoon, is expected to hit the Philippines Saturday bringing
heavy rainfall and leaving major damage in its wake.
Parma is gathering pace in the western Pacific with winds
at 150 mph.
Ketsana left at least 246 people dead as it passed over
the Philippines over the weekend. It left the nation’s capital, Manila,
underwater.
