College Football News: Oklahoma Sooners QB Sam Bradford to Remain on Sideline for Game Against Miami Hurricanes

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford will not be taking any snaps on Saturday when his team faces the Miami Hurricanes after head coach Bob Stoops announced freshman Landry Jones would get the start in South Florida.

Bradford is still recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered in Oklahoma’s season-opening loss to BYU but has show marked improvement and has been practicing with the team.

Stoops addressed the Bradford issue on Thursday saying in a statement, “Sam has made daily progress, but we don't feel like he's quite where he needs to be yet.” That leaves Jones to guide the No. 8 Sooners against the No. 17 Hurricanes but Stoops has every bit of confidence in the freshman, “Our team has a lot of confidence in Landry's ability and we're looking forward to going into the game with him at quarterback.”
