Atlanta, GA --The recent floods in Georgia and other surrounding southeast areas of the United States claimed over a dozen lives and caused an estimated $250 million in damages.

Now, residents are starting to return to their homes and business and they may be knowingly or unknowingly exposed to hazardous environmental conditions.

POLLUTION AND HIGH HEALTH RISK

Floodwaters potentially increase the risk of air, surface and water pollution. The stagnant water from flooding is a reservoir for microbes and other chemicals (VOC and other gases) as it contains sewage and other debris.
