The 19-year-old actress, who plays Bella in the vampire film franchise, decided to take on different roles while making the Twilight movies to ensure she didn’t become too immersed in them.
Kristen who recently shot The Runaways, in which she portrays musician Joan Jett explained: I think I would have been a psychopath by the end of a four-year stint on the Twilight saga without anything like that to change it up."
Kristen admits she was unaware how much her life would change when she took on the role of Bella, who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.
She now finds it hard to complete everyday tasks without being mobbed by fans, but is convinced the interest in her life will die down.
She added to Interview magazine: I have a really strong feeling that this is going to go away, that this is the most intense it's going to get - and could get - and that it's fleeting.
