Leah Messer has another little girl. The Teen Mom 2 star gave birth to her third child on Monday, February 4. The baby girl is her first child with husband Jeremy Calvert. She has 3-year-old twin daughters with ex-husband Corey Simms.
"Yes, the time is near," Messer tweeted Sunday. "Can't wait to meet you little Miss Calvert!"
In January 2012 the couple announced they were expecting, but Messer suffered a miscarriage just weeks after the announcement. Messer and Calvert announced they were expecting again last fall, 4 months after their marriage.
"Jeremy and I are excited to be adding a new addition to our family. Being a teen mom was difficult, but I'm older and in a different place now -- married to Jeremy and excited for our family to grow,” Messer said in a statement at the time. "Ali and Aleeah can't wait to meet their new brother or sister. We feel incredibly blessed and look forward to this next chapter in our lives."
In an interview with Us Weekly magazine, Messer admitted that the pregnancy came sooner than expected. “I'm not going to say it wasn't planned, because we intended to try -- eventually. It just happened a little sooner than we expected. Our parents are thrilled. It'll be Jeremy's parents' first grandchild, so they're really excited,” she said.
"The path I chose isn't right for everyone, but it's right for me," she added. "I am financially stable -- we just bought our first home -- and I'm emotionally fit to have another child. I'm 100 percent prepared -- way more than I was at 16."
