Sean Lowe and his 9 remaining girls left the drama of Montana behind for another round of outdoorsy dates in Canada. Fortunately for the girls there was not a two-one-date – Chris Harrison confirmed there would be the usual two one-on-one dates and one group date.
The first one-on-one goes to Catherine. She is dropped off on in the middle of nowhere in a near blizzard to wait for Sean to pick her up in a snow bus. The two then enjoy sledding and making snow angels. Later on they take a horse drawn carriage to an ice castle built especially for their date. Catherine opens up a childhood accident that killed one of her friends. She shares about the changes it brought to her life and Sean gives her the rose.
Tierra, Daniella, AshLee, Selma, Lesley, Sarah and Lindsay get the group date. They go canoeing across an ice cold lake and end up at a set of tents set up on shore. Once on shore Sean informs them that they are about strip down to their bathing suits to take the “polar bear plunge” in the lake. Selma decides to sit out of the plunge. After the plunge Tierra starts stumbling around the beach and acting “unresponsive.” The medics quickly wrap her in blankets and check her vital signs. They rush her back to the hotel to warm up and eat. Sean later visits Tierra in her room where she is in bed hooked up to an oxygen tank. He instructs her to “take it easy” while he and the other girls have their cocktail party. Tierra decides she doesn’t want to miss out on the party, so she gets dressed and surprised Sean and the girls. The girls aren’t happy and complain of her drama, but Sean seems oblivious to Tierra’s manipulation. He gives the date rose to Lesley.
After the date, Sean decides to pull Sarah aside and send her home. He explains that he doesn’t see forever with her. Sarah is understandably upset, but she handles it well.
The second one-on-one goes to Desiree. Sean hopes the date will reassure her of his feelings for her. He takes her repelling down a mountain to a picnic site. Later they have a romantic dinner in a teepee. Desiree opens up about growing up without money and sometimes having to live in tents and trailer parks. Sean is impressed that she is so humble. He gives her the date rose.
At the rose ceremony, Sean sends Selma and Daniella packing.
