Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has received a contract from the U.S. Army for the production of Excalibur Ia-2 155 mm precision guided projectile rounds. The contract was for about $73.3 million. Excalibur Ia-2 is the next generation of precision guided projectiles to be used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps artillery. The Excalibur Ia-2 uses GPS precision guided technology to provide warfighters with an accurate first round of fire.
