SEC College Football Schedule Saturday: LSU Faces Georgia, Alabama Takes on Kentucky

Saturday will feature four games that pit SEC schools against each other with the #4 LSU Tigers and #18 Georgia Bulldogs grabbing top billing on the day. While the Tigers (4-0) have managed to get by unscathed thus far they could run into problems when they travel to Athens to face the 3-1 Bulldogs who have an offense that has had little trouble putting up points.

The #3 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0) are on the road to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (2-1) and after last year’s scare the Tide won’t be taking the game lightly. Kentucky fell 17-14 at Alabama last year when the Tide were ranked #2 in the country. Kentucky is trying to bounce back after getting hammered by #1 Florida last week.

For the Mississippi Rebels this has been a difficult week after seeing their dream season end in when they were beat up by South Carolina. Mississippi (2-1) had been ranked #4 in the country but dropped to #21 and will be looking to take their frustration out on the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-2) on Saturday.

That same South Carolina team has been on a roll as Steve Spurrier has his Gamecocks at 3-1 on the year and they should be jumping to 4-1 when they host South Carolina State on Saturday.

The Mississippi State  Bulldogs (2-2) will have their hands full when they host the #25 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-1). Georgia Tech has one of the most productive rushing attacks in college football and the Bulldogs defense will need to be ready.

Arkansas is coming off back-to-back SEC losses and a 1-2 record isn’t exactly where the Razorbacks wanted to be but they’ll have their shot at evening their record on Saturday when they play host to Texas A&M in an out-of-conference showdown.

While the Auburn Tigers are a perfect 4-0 on the year they haven’t received a lot of national attention but that could change if they manage to knock off the 2-2 Tennessee Volunteers on the road.
