General Dynamics Land Systems Receives Contract from U.S. Army for Abrams Tank Systems Technical Support

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit, General Dynamics Land Systems has received a contract for Abrams Tank Systems Technical Support by the U.S. Army. The contract from the U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command is valued at $58 million.

GD will perform studies on Abrams main battle tanks to identify improvements and replace obsolete parts to maintain the tank at high operational readiness rates. The work is expected to be completed by December 31, 2011.
