Ok…. here’s a familiar scene: You’re leaving for a business trip, and will be mixing in some leisure activities as well. You look at your closet and can’t decide on just a few things, so you pack your entire wardrobe in your suitcase. You’re now sprawled out on top of your suitcase, sweat beads are forming, and with a grunt that you’re sure hadn’t come out of YOU—you start the zipping process! Are you following me so far?
Well, it might make you laugh to read that and relate. But, really-- wouldn’t we all like to avoid that situation?
The Balancing Act and Chadwicks are excited to have NYC Fashion Editor and Stylist, JoJo Cohen on the show! Make sure you tune in October 5th on Lifetime Television at 7:30 a.m. (Eastern/Pacific). They’re teaming up to help you eliminate the “Packing Pilate” routine!
Let’s say you’re leaving for the weekend and visiting friends, then going to business meetings all week. What should you be packing this time of year? JoJo and Chadwicks have some great tips on this subject. JoJo’s advice, “Keep socks, undergarments, and pajamas in a separate bag that can then be used as a dirty laundry bag. Stick with one base color when starting to pack, like black or brown. This will simplify shoe and handbag options.”
JoJo adds, “Throw in a dressy blouse. You never know when you may need it for a last minute dinner date! I suggest laying clothes out on your bed and making sure everything you're bringing is cohesive -- tops you can wear more than once and one sweater that goes with everything. Include workout wear and lightweight sneakers for a trip to the gym - very important!”
That was just the tip-- of her tips! JoJo and Chadwicks will be covering all packing bases from non-wrinkle clothing to what you should wear on the plane.
