Three foreign aid workers who had been kidnapped in Somalia have been released after nearly three months of captivity.
All three workers, said to be from Zimbabwe, Pakistan and the third listed as European, had been employed by the French group Action Against Hunger and are said to be in good health. After their check-up they were flown to Nairobi where they were met by family and friends.
The workers had been kidnapped on July 18 after gunmen stormed their office in Mandera, near the Kenyan border. It is not known if a ransom was paid for their release.
