Peyton Manning and the Colts offense ran 80 plays from scrimmage compared to the Bears 47 and Indy held the ball for nearly seventeen minutes longer than their NFC opponent in route to a 29-17 Super Bowl win.
The Colts took advantage of their dual threat in the backfield along with the arm of Manning to wear down the Chicago defense. Manning finished with 247 yards passing and a touchdown while Dominic Rhodes ran for 113 yards and a touchdown and Joseph Addai totaled 143 yards from scrimmage, including a touchdown in the win.
With the Super Bowl victory the Colts completed a perfect 4-0 run through the playoffs and finished the season 16-4 under head coach Tony Dungy.
