Air India Flight Disrupted after Pilots and Cabin Crew come to Blows

An Air India flight carrying 106 passengers from the United Arab Emirates to India was disrupted mid-flight when the pilots and cabin crew became involved in a scuffle that involved punches being thrown.

According to reports the fight broke out after the cabin crew accused the pilots of sexually harassing a 24-year-old flight attendant. Initially started in the cockpit, the argument spilled into the plane’s aisles and within minutes punches were being thrown. One pilot and an air hostess suffered bruises.

Stunned passengers were witness to the attack which caused the plane to experience severe turbulence before the pilots returned to the cockpit.

After landing the plane a claim against the pilots was filed by the 24-year-old while the pilots filed a counter-claim. Air India immediately suspended the pilots for their actions. The crew was also said to be suspended.
