Peyton Manning was 31/41 for 353 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns, Reggie Wayne had six catches for 74 yards and a TD and Joseph Addai collected 46 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving along with a touchdown as the Indianapolis Colts (4-0) remained perfect on the year, dropping the Seattle Seahawks (1-3) 34-17 on Sunday.
The Colts jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a one-yard run from Donald Brown and that lead was extended to 14-0 in the second when manning hit Wayne on a 15-yard toss. Seattle managed to put three points on the board when Olindo Mare kicked a 38-yard field goal with 1:22 left in the half. Unfortunately for the Seahawks that was plenty of time for Manning to orchestrate another scoring drive and when he found Austin Collie on a 21-yard touchdown pass with 3 seconds left the Colts had built their lead to 21-3.
Indy’s defense continued to stifle Seattle in the third quarter and Addai put the game away when he found a hole and went 12-yards for a touchdown to boost the advantage to 28-3. Adam Vinatieri tacked on a pair of field goals in the fourth to push the lead to 34-3 before Seneca Wallace scored on a 7-yard keeper and then hit Owen Schmitt on a one-yard toss for a touchdown in the closing seconds.
