Suicide Bomber Attacks UN World Food Program Offices in Pakistan

A suicide bomber detonated an explosive at the United Nations World Food Program offices in Pakistan’s capital of Islamabad on Monday killing at least five and injuring several more.

According to reports the man was dressed in a military uniform and made his way past security guards who allowed the man into the compound to use the bathroom. The man then entered the building and moments later a large explosion ripped through its offices.

While there have been no claims of responsibility officials are already blaming the Pakistani Taliban which has vowed revenge for the killing of their leader Baitullah Mehsud who died in a U.S. drone strike in August.

An investigation has already been launched to determine why the bomber was allowed to enter the compound. The UN World Food Program building is heavily fortified by private security as well as government police
