NFL News: New York Giants QB Eli Manning Having MRI on Right Leg

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is having an MRI on his right leg on Monday following an injury he sustained in Sunday’s 27-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Manning injured his right heel in the fourth quarter when he dropped back for a pass. On the play Manning dropped back and had Steve Smith open deep but his throw was short and he could be seen limping after the play. Manning then followed the failed play up with a 54-yard touchdown toss to Hakeem Nicks before coming out of the game.

On Monday morning Manning still had some swelling and soreness in his foot but went through his normal routine and attended team meetings. His status for next week’s game against the Oakland Raiders remains unknown.
