Gunman Arrested on University of South Florida Campus

One man was taken in to custody on the University of South Florida Campus after police received reports of a gunman with a bomb near the library.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt. A suspect was arrested but his name was not released. It is unclear if he is a student at USF.

Tampa police’s bomb team was on the scene to retrieve the suspect’s belongings. No other details were available.

Students and employees of the school were warned of the intruder by text messages. Emergency sirens on campus were also activated.
