Lady Gaga Suffers Labral Tear Of Right Hip, Cancels Entire Born This Way Ball Tour

Lady Gaga has some very sad news for her Little Monsters. The singer revealed Wednesday she is forced to cancel the 21 dates remaining on her Born This Way Ball tour because medical tests have revealed she has a labral tear of the right hip that requires surgery and “strict down time.”

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been canceled. After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal,” reads a statement on her Little Monsters website.

Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase.

The announcement came just one day after Lady Gaga postponed four concerts. She sited synovitis, or severe inflammation of the joints, as the reason for the cancelation of shows in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Canada. The singer begged fans for their forgiveness in a post on Facebook.

“I’m so sorry. I barely know what to say. I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened,” she wrote. “I’ve been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last night’s performance I could not walk and still can’t. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself.”
