Close-Up Talk Radio spotlights Ayn Ulm

If attitude precedes action, then the key to success is developing a successful attitude.

Ayn Ulm is a certified life coach and motivational speaker with over 15 years’ experience collaborating with organizations dedicated to career and business development. She’s been included among the contributors to The Art and Science of Success, a collection of unprecedented personal success stories, sharing the secrets to financial freedom and greater human potential.

“The principles of success are within us,” says Ulm. “We already have the qualities necessary to be successful. Successful people believe in themselves and believe in their task. You have to find ways to keep yourself inspired, motivated and committed.”

In the wake of the recession, Ulm has worked tirelessly with the country’s unemployed, developing interactive workshops to help them gain confidence, identify their skills and find jobs. Through her efforts, 90 percent of those individuals in the program were successful in finding employment.

“Many times the reason people have difficulty finding employment is because they don’t know how to effectively market their skills,” says Ulm. “These people weren’t taught how to identify the skills they had to give them the confidence to go out and get a job.”

Once you’ve found the job, however, you can’t become complacent. You have to continually set goals for yourself in order to achieve success. According to Ulm, there are four steps to success: determine what you want to do, plan how you’re going to do it, disassociate from those who would discourage you and follow through.

“So often when we’ve set a goal for ourselves, there are people around us who will put it down. But you have to stay focused on your goal,” says Ulm. “I’ve heard many successful people say that what drives them is helping other people get what they want. You have to support people to be supported.”

Close-Up Talk Radio will feature Ayn Ulm in a four-part interview with Jim Masters on February 18th and February 25th at 8:30pm EST and with Doug Llewelyn on March 4th and March 11th at 3:30pm EST.
