Anna Nicole Smith and TrimSpa Inc Named in Class-Action Lawsuit
Former Playboy centerfold and reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith has been named alongside TrimSpa Inc. in a class-action lawsuit claiming false and misleading marketing.
The lawsuit filed last Thursday named Janet Luna and three people identified as her guardians as the plaintiffs. Alleging that TrimSpa implemented deceptive business practices, the quartet are seeking unspecified damages, restitution, and an injunction against the weight loss company that would prevent future claims of weight loss as a result of the company’s pills.
Smith credited TrimSpa for her dramatic weight loss and has endorsed the product. She has been hired as a spokeswoman for TrimSpa Inc.
