College Football News: Oklahoma Sooners QB Sam Bradford Eyes Saturday Return Against Baylor Bears

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford is hoping he will be back under center on Saturday when his team takes on the Baylor Bears in a Big 12 battle. Bradford has been sidelined for the last three weeks due to a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder, an injury he suffered in the Sooners week one loss to BYU.

The Sooners came into the season with national championship aspirations but with Bradford out the team has faltered, falling to 2-2 after last Saturday’s loss to the Miami Hurricanes.

Oklahoma could still capture the Big 12 title and earn a BCS bowl bid and that has been the motivation for Bradford, last year’s Heisman Trophy award-winner. The first step will be against the 3-1 Bears but Oklahoma will face a huge test in their next game when they take on the #2 Texas Longhorns.

Bradford has said he would like to play against Baylor and get some time on the field prior to the Texas game but there has been no confirmation that he will see the field on Saturday.
