Weekly Massage Results in Life-Saving Diagnosis

For years, Dave Wilensky has known about the health benefits of therapeutic massage, but what he didn’t know was that his weekly Massage Envy appointments would play a role in saving his life.

Skin cancer ranks as the most common form of cancer in the United States. It’s vital to know the warning signs. For years, dermatologists have used an alphabet list to remind us what to watch for:

A = Asymmetry. One half doesn’t match the other.

B = Border. Ragged or ill-defined edges.

C = Color. Irregular pigmentation.

D = Diameter. Melanomas are usually about the size of a pencil eraser or larger.

E = Evolving. The mole changes, including texture or sensation.

Dermatologists also encourage watching for moles that look or feel different from neighboring moles - darker/lighter, larger/smaller or located in an otherwise clear area.
