OPERATION SMILE TO PARTICIPATE IN HASBRO’S PROJECT ZAMBI

Operation Smile is happy to be a beneficiary of Hasbro's PROJECT ZAMBI Celebrity Auction.Hasbro's PROJECT ZAMBI is a global cause initiative dedicated to raising awareness of the estimated 15 million children who have lost parents and relatives to the AIDS epidemic in Africa and around the world and supporting programs that are caring for them.

The PROJECT ZAMBI Celebrity Auction features approximately 25 autographed, one-of-a-kind collectible elephant models. Hasbro invited celebrities from the worlds of film, music, television and sports to autograph these custom-designed model elephants, all of which were created by volunteers associated Hasbro's own product development team.  Each celebrity who autographed an elephant selected an organization that supports children orphaned by AIDS to receive the proceeds from the auction of their elephant.

Operation Smile Ambassador
Jessica Simpson has chosen Operation Smile to receive 100 percent of the proceeds from the auction of her autographed elephant.  Operation Smile provides free surgical treatment to children around the world with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. The proceeds from this auction will support Operation Smile’s mission to provide new smiles to children in Africa.

The PROJECT ZAMBI Celebrity Auction will take place on eBay starting on Monday, October 5.  The auction will run for ten days, with the last bids being accepted on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Visit (
www.eBay.com/ProjectZambi) to view the celebrity elephants. We ask you to help us spread the word about this auction to help raise funds to support our mission and encourage awareness of the issues surrounding the care of children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic in Africa.
