Michael Jackson was like “God”, says his sister La Toya.

The 53-year-old star insists her late brother had divine qualities because of the way he tried to spread peace and love during his life, which was tragically cut short in June.

She said during an appearance on UK TV show ‘Live >From Studio Five’: “Michael was very, very special and my mother would always say that, because he was. He was very different. I would always say, ‘Hes not God. But hes so God-like.’ He really was God-like. He just wanted to spread love and share love and just do everything that was wonderful. When you were around him, you felt that. You felt that energy. It was so different from what you guys really knew. That energy was so powerful and so strong. You liked being around him. You liked that feeling.”

La Toya remains adamant the 50 London concerts her brother was set to perform were ultimately responsible for his death.

She added: “Truthfully, I dont think he could have done 50 shows. Absolutely not, no. A healthy person couldnt have done it. A person who is physically fit that was doing this every single day couldn’t have done it. It was just too much for him, it really was.”

Earlier this month, La Toya claimed Michaels 11-year-old daughter Paris blamed his proposed ‘This Is It’ residency for her fathers demise.

La Toya revealed: "Paris asked me in the hospital, 'How could this happen? She said, 'You know, Auntie La Toya, they worked him too hard. He never got the chance to rest, it was just non-stop work.' I said, 'You're kidding,' and she said, 'You don't understand. They just worked him constantly and daddy didn't want that.' "

The 'Thriller' singer – who also had sons Prince Michael I, 12, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, known as 'Blanket' - had been rehearsing for his concerts when he died from acute Propofol intoxication on June 25.
