Life Insurance Is Worth The Cost According To ChristiaNet Poll

Life insurance such as term, whole life and universal life insurance are some of the insurance related articles at http://www.christianet.com/lifeinsurance/.

ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, took a survey to ask readers, "Are life insurance polices worth the cost?" Out of 293 participants, 134 felt that they are worth the cost because it helps cover funeral expenses, and provide for loved ones. One respondent said, "I believe we need to be prepared for anything and be able to leave our families with the abilities to care for needs left behind." Funeral expenses are high and there may be other debts that need to be taken care of as well.  (http://www.christianet.com/lifeinsurance/)

Seventy-eight participants said, life insurance is not worth the cost and offered alternatives such as having a saving account or pre-paying the funeral costs while one is still living. Others in this group felt that paying an insurance company is just helping them to make profits. "They make agents live like lords and the participants struggle to pay the premiums all their lives." So many felt that there is nothing that can replace the assurance we have in Jesus and He will take care of loved ones when the time comes to make the journey to Heaven.

Eighty-one of those who participated in the survey were unsure about the answer to this question. Life insurance policies do provide some peace of mind during a time of loss for the remaining family but is there a better way to provide security? One respondent felt that it is best to put money into a good investment instead of paying premiums. Concerns ranged from the value of money regarding inflation to the fine print in policies that make them worthless. Of course, many Christians believe that our security is in Christ and in Him alone.

Good points were made by many of the people who took the survey. Some felt that it depends on who you're leaving behind. Young children will need to be cared for since they are going to be dependent until they reach maturity. Planning for the future seems to be important to most people polled, since it offers some security for covering expenses but also because one can leave this world knowing that loves ones won't have that burden to carry.  For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
