Exchange Magazine recently released its annual status report of the largest for-profit child care establishments. Little Sprouts, a leader in early education ranks as #38 among fifty of North America’s largest child care institutions. The report centers on analyzing year over year capacity growth within different sectors of the child care industry - ranging from large national chains through local operations.
From 2009 to 2012 Little Sprouts boasts an impressive 82% growth rate. During the 4 year period, Little Sprouts opened a total of 9 schools (8preschools in M.A. and 1 preschool in N.H.) increasing capacity from 1,063 to 1,711. That's over 61% more when compared to the average 10% growth rate of other child care establishments.
In addition to capacity growth, Little Sprouts increased enrollment from 805 children in 2009 to over 1,352 children in 2012, adding more than 225 jobs throughout the process.
