New Jersey Employment Rights Attorney Wins Workers' Compensation Retaliation Trial

Employment rights attorney and founding partner of the law firm of Costello & Mains, P.C., Kevin M. Costello, obtained a jury verdict in favor of client LD in front of a Camden County jury on Valentine's Day, 2013 . . . a "sweet" victory, indeed.

Kevin had filed suit on behalf of a worker allegedly terminated in retaliation for inquiring after, and/or pursuing, workers' compensation benefits. The employer's defense was that the employee had voluntarily resigned.

"I am very proud of our firm and our client," Kevin says. "He held his own against a number of witnesses lining up against him and convinced the jury that he was telling the truth and that his employment rights had been violated."
The verdict is expected to be appealed, but Kevin is optimistic.
