Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE:STC) plunges 15.22% or $1.84 to $10.25 on over 662K shares after Stewart Information Services Corporation announced today its intention to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $60 million aggregate principal amount of Convertible Senior Notes due 2014 (Notes) in a private placement to qualified institutional buyers. The Notes will be guaranteed by Stewart's wholly-owned subsidiary, Stewart Title Company , and certain of its wholly-owned domestic subsidiaries. Stewart Information Services Corporation is a real estate information, title insurance and transaction management company.

FormFactor, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORM) fell 4.89% to $20.43 on over 574K shares after FormFactor, Inc. announced on October 6, 2009,  that the Delaware Bankruptcy Court has approved FormFactor's acquisition of intellectual property rights and certain technology assets of Electroglas, Inc. related to precision motion control automation. The purchase provides FormFactor with IP and physical assets the Company will use in its manufacturing operations. The acquisition does not include physical assets and technology solely used in the Electroglas prober business, which are expected to be purchased by a third party as part of a separate auction process. The assets acquired by FormFactor were made available at auction as part of activities related to Electroglas' bankruptcy proceedings. Targacept Inc. (TRGT) announced plans to sell at least 2.2 million shares, the latest drug development company to tap equity markets in recent weeks.
