Jennifer Lopez becomes ‘Lola’ on her new single.

The singer-and-actress has adopted the new persona for dance tune ‘Fresh Out the Oven’ – which is available to listen to on the internet - but is not going to perform as her alter-ego all the time.

A source said: “Lola is just for this song, it's not her ongoing persona. It's something fun. It isnt like when Beyonce Knowles performs as ‘Sasha Fierce’. There won't be anything to do with ‘Lola’ on her ‘Love?’ album.”

‘Fresh Out the Oven’ is being promoted as a “club record” and features rapper Pitbull and was produced by The Neptunes.

Epic Records president Amanda Ghost said: “This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun. Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. ‘Lola’ is fun.”

‘Love?’ is Jennifer’s first studio album since 2007s’Brave’.

The 40-year-old star has taken time away from the spotlight following the birth of her 19-month-old twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony.
