Bobby Brown is headed to jail. The New Edition singer was sentenced Tuesday to four years of informal probation, an 18 month alcohol treatment program and 55 days in jail in connection with his October 2012 arrest for DUI and driving on a suspended license. At the time of the arrest, Brown was on probation for a May 2012 DUI arrest.
He pleaded no contest to the second DUI charge in court on Tuesday. Brown is required to report to jail by March 20. The 44-year-old has not commented. No other details were available.
Brown is the ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston. The pair has a daughter together, 20-year-old Bobby Kristina. Brown wed his longtime manager Alicia Etheridge last June after a 2 year engagement. The couple has a 3-year-old son named Cassius.
