It’s over for Michelle Williams and Jason Segel. A source close to the pair confirms they ended their yearlong romance earlier this month due to the challenges of Williams living in New York City and Segel spending most of his time in Los Angeles.
An insider says the breakup is amicable. “It's a sad moment. They respect each other,” the source tells Us Weekly magazine.
Reps for the actors have not commented on the reports. Williams, who has a 7-year-old daughter with the late Heath Ledger, can be seen next alongside James Franco and Mila Kunis in Oz the Great and Powerful. Segel stars on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother. He will star next in This Is the End.
In other celebrity breakup news, Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have also allegedly called it quits. The couple began dating shortly after filming Midnight in Paris together in 2010. No details on their split were immediately available. McAdams previously dated her Notebook co-star Ryan Gosling, while Sheen had a long-term relationship with actress Kate Beckinsale.
